26th June - Gibraltar (Return to the planet of the apes)

This could be used as an opportunity to visit Morocco which is just a 1hr seacat ride from Algeciras which is just down the road. Let me know if you need the ferry link

28th August - Romania (Dracula Ride)

THis could be used as an opportunity to visit Bucharest the capital

1500 miles to castle  from Euro Tunnel

If you approach the area from the north you willride the transfagarasan highway which was recently featured on the Top Gear TV show

Poienari castle ( which is on the above road) Photo at 6pm. This is the true Count Dracula Castle inhabited by Vlad tepes. It seems every Castle in Transalvania was Dracula's !!!

23rd October - Centre of Europe (Journey to the Centre of the Earth)

Wikepedia gives many locations as the centre of Europe depending on who worked it out and where the boundaries were at the time. This one has a good monument and is a good excuse to go to Lithuania

Don't know whether you're looking for provisonal numbers, but count me in on the Dambusters Tour and me and Sonia on the Dracula ride.

TR3OC matters and stage one of the "round the world trip" clash with the other sorry.

everyone books their own rooms and ferries/tunnel.

 

I chose hotels that could all be booked online and all have plenty of rooms. It would pay to pair up in twin rooms if you can find somebody you can get on with.....
