He's here. Filtering since Worcester! Phil that is.

About 50 riders registered, almost 150 to go.

Regular updates to follow.

177 registered by close tonight.

Persistent precipitation, left tent door open, oh dear!

04:00 is the alarm set time, but will Morpheous call?

It's not, had to keep it above water level!

Four out so far for personal reasons. First rider is due back at 10pm
and last by 8am so a long night is to be had by us Event staff.

On the bright side the tent has been bailed out and is currently drying
nicely.

Just had a chicken curry and all is right with the World.

152 bikes set off this morning to undertake the annual 1000+ mile challenge. So far, 4 have withdrawn, a family team of 2 bikes (3 people) due to health issues, one guy with an injured shoulder (he had an off a few weeks ago and couldn't fight the >25mph winds in Scotland on his naked ER5), and a breakdown in Inverness.

Crez is doing well on his BBG 1500 attempt, now on the M5 heading towards Bristol and looking good for a 1500+ in less than 24 hours.

Dee-Michael Thorne on his Yamaha 125 poppy special is doing well too and is a half hour ahead of his schedule, now heading for Dover.

We are expecting our first finisher at 2200 and will be setting up the reception in the next half hour.

Still wet!

Fantastic, Crezz did it and one other did the 1500. Also the little 125cc
Poppy Bike did it too.

What an event a credit to RBLR and all those involved.

Just had a breakfast and setting up the IBA UK shop. Is it still Saturday
if you havn't been to bed?

Later from a wet Yorkshire.

Dave

Yes a very wet and windy one. Big thanks to all the organisers from both The Iron Butt and RBLR

No doubt will be back again next year.

On a side note - did it on a Triumph Explorer - anyone know if an SS1000 in the UK has been done on one yet? Or am I the first (probably not)

Well done all the riders who were on the rblr1000. No ride is easy
and to do a 1000 miles in the wet and windy UK is no mean feat.
To those that did longer rides I'm even more amazed. Well done one
and all.
