Were you having a coffee in a Service Station on the A2
(heading towards Hanover) last night at about 2245?
If it was, apologies for not saying hello when you walked
past, I was pretty knackered and not 100% sure it was you.
I noticed that the bike was an R1200RT registered in
Krefeld

Tony,
Gerhard rides a GS, unless it was a lone bike whilst he got his serviced
as he does reside in Krefeld. Be interesting to see if it was or if he has
a doppelgänger.
Later
Dave

On the German RTE he was driving one and when I asked why he changed from last week (Colmar) the answer was that this is the one he takes when with his wife!

Tony,
the world is soo small. Yes it was me.
I was waiting there - really p*ssed - because my RT was down and I was waiting for Gerit - my son - to get help.
He fixed the bike until 1:30 am - then I could go on..
/* proud father mode ON ...
Its good to have a son who learned BMW mechanic, Gerit has a title of master craftsman too.
Actually he is studying automotive engineering in Cologne..
... proud father mode OFF */
Oh man, what a shame that we missed.. also sorry from my side.
Hey guys - when you are in the near ... please call me for a coffee or a dinner, get my telefon number by a pm ..

Damn! I nearly said "Halo" but I'd been driving for 9
hours and was really tired :(
Glad you got it fixed :)
John - for future reference: BMWs don't break down, they
just get motionally challenged now and again

Dear John,
no no no - not a "broken down BMW" !!!
... more a BMW which was not running any more, because of some stupid electrical mistakes of a mechanic
I think your thoughts about that Triumphs are absolutely correct and I do not want to be contrary to this..
So .. there is no need to keep this posts as a corpus delicti ..
Sincerely Yours,
Gerhard

Ah, I see .....
You have a future career in politics awaiting you with reasoning such as that ...
Anyway, as a German, riding a German machine, I salute you
Regards
John
