The first that gets you on the clock is especially important, and the last one that gets you off the clock too because all of the others are sandwiched in between the start and finish receipts.
One rider wrote in his report that he thought that he went on the clock at 0500 but the receipt, which he forgot to check, said that he went on the clock at 0508 and he thought that he finished his BBG with 15 minutes to spare. In actuality he officially finished with only 7 minutes to spare. He qualified for the certificate but could easily have missed it.
