DBR - Dated Business Receipt

A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION on it.  Check it - do not assume it is correct.  A receipt with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless.  Check and re-check.

Fees:  Regular fees apply - This is a special certificate only program

Rules

The Ice Cream rides have many different levels of difficulty.

Ice cream 1000 - Eat at  4 ice cream locations - 24 hours**

Ice Cream Insanity - Eat at 6 ice cream locations - 24 hours**

Ice cream 1500 - Eat at 5 ice cream locations - 36 hours**

Ice cream BBG - Eat at 4 ice cream locations - 24 hours**

You must take a selfie at each stop eating, what else - ice cream - and get a DBR at that store.

Each ice cream selfie must be at least 150 miles apart.

**We recognize that few, if any ice cream shops are open 24/7.  We will permit two WILDCARDS to be used in place of the permitted locations mentioned below.  To use the wildcard, you may take a selfie eating ice cream in front of a gas station or any 24 hour convience store/supermarket or from a National chain like Dairy Queen, Baskin-Robbins, Cold Stone Creamery, Denny'setc.  Photos must still be at least 150 miles from any other photo.

You may start and/or end your ride at any permitted or Wildcard location.

Your ride starts at your first ice cream location after you eat  your first ice cream treat - and take a selfie eating ice cream (so you are on the clock when you get your receipt for your first ice cream.)

Your ride ends at your last ice cream locationtop, AFTER you eat your final ice cream treat (and take a selfie eating ice cream).  Don't forget the final receipt.

Permitted Ice Cream Locations

Each permitted ice cream location must be either:

--Ice Cream locations making it on premise.
--Local Favorites: Usually independent operations or scoop shops, usually selling locally made Ice Cream. --Dedicated specialty ice cream locations (not nationwide chains), for example, Margie's Candies in Chicago (a favorite stop of the famous gangster Al Capone in the day), Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Soda Fountain in Denton, Texas, - the list is endless.
--Regional Chains: Many regional  favorites have grown beyond their orginal cities.
--Dairies or Factory Stores: The closer you are to the source, the better it seems to taste.
--Historic Locations: These are worth finding, especially old 'malt shops'.

EXCEPT FOR YOUR 2 WILDCARD STOPS (best used early morning or overnight) -  NO NATIONAL OR BIG CHAINS ARE PERMITTED (LIKE DAIRY QUEEN, BASKIN-ROBBINS COLDSTONE CREAMERY, ETC.

What is considered Ice Cream:

Any Frozen delight usually containing dairy products, which also covers Frozen Custard & Gelato.
But these days there are Lactose & Vegan options, plus sorbets & Italian Ices. So pretty much anything frozen.

You may take any route you like.
